This is a truly special painting for me.
It was created at the height of carrying a back injury last year that put me out of work and all physical activities for 6 to 7 months.
Most days I was unable to be on my feet for longer than a couple of hours it was one of the most dark times I have had in my life.
I stayed positive still swimming and going to the beach with my family and with the support of my wife and my family slowly I began to regain strength and start working out stretching doing yoga and core work and lifting weights.
Bodyboarding is how I started enjoying the waves again and helped strengthen my back.
This painting depicts my son and his friend walking back after riding the shorebreak, and the figures behind them are other dads playing with their kids.
I have named this Raised by the Ocean as my whole life in difficult times , the Ocean has always been there for me it heals soothes the soul and body, it puts smiles on peoples faces and creates a better way of being for so many that enjoy it daily.
I dedicate this to my family and the Ocean!
