Floral Teacups in Blue is a relief linocut of stacked teacups with spotted pardalotes.

The teacups are adorned with different motifs of beautiful native flowers, and carved in an expressive way to retain the mark making of the technique. The ink is a deep blue printed on a smooth white 300gsm cotton rag paper.

Printed in a limited edition of 10, the printed area measures approximately 24x36cm with the paper measuring 30x40cm. It is sent rolled in a strong tube.

Nicola is a Perth based multi-award winning artist and owner of The Artists Nook a collaborative artists team providing public and community art projects throughout WA. She has a BA Honours in Fine Art Printmaking from Gray’s School of Art in Scotland.

Her art practice encompasses printmaking and painting with a focus on linocut and watercolour. Nature is a constant throughout her work with native flowers and birds as subjects and motifs.

Art Nouveau and stained glass work have been an enduring inspiration and are echoed throughout her pieces. Juxtaposing flat ink against textural and tonal watercolour washes create a tactility in her still life and botanical pieces.
