The sweet honeyeaters are a beautiful bird with distinctive markings and are found in native bushes foraging for nectar.

The linocut is filled with stylized floweds and natural elements. Printed with black oil based inks on a smooth white paper.

Handprinted linocut on 300 gsm smooth cotton rag paper. Archival quality and for sale unframed.

This is the monochrome print in a limited edition of 6, each with a different palette.

Artist Bio

Nicola is a Perth based multi-award winning artist and owner of The Artists Nook a collaborative artists team providing public and community art projects throughout WA. She has a BA Honours in Fine Art Printmaking from Gray’s School of Art in Scotland.

Her art practice encompasses printmaking and painting with a focus on linocut and watercolour. Nature is a constant throughout her work with native flowers and birds as subjects and motifs.

Art Nouveau and stained glass work have been an enduring inspiration and are echoed throughout her pieces. Juxtaposing flat ink against textural and tonal watercolour washes create a tactility in her still life and botanical pieces.
