Fish is a monochrome linocut on paper. Fish is a recurring theme throughout my work and often depicted with native plants to evoke an underwater scene in a stylized manner. I create imagined patterns and in this piece they are graphic and stark, the retention of the markmaking created from the cutting process are retained to add organic patternation and surface interest.
It is printed with oil based ink on warm white Canson paper in a limted edition of 4.
Paper measures 32.2 x 25.7 cm and the image measures 27.0 x19.8 cm. It is dsyed, totled, numbered and signed in pencil on the border.
