Collecting seeds and pods from my property is one of my favourite things to do. From honkey nuts dropped by cockatoos to large spent banksia pods and tiny jarrah pods.
Sorting them fo photographing inspired this study. And the playful use of exaggerating the colours of the fallen seeds to make a warm and inviting compostion where the everyday and often overlooked are centre stage.
Painted on 300gsm cotton rag watercolour paper with archival quality artists watercolours and ink.
