Winter Bouquet is an original watercolour on 300gsm cotton rag watercolour paper.

Painted from a beautiful farm fresh bunch of flowers in a pink and orange vase, with a checked table cloth and striped wallls it is a light filled still life. 

With exagerrated and flattened perspectives there is an emphasis on pattern and colour.

Nicola is a Perth based multi-award winning artist and owner of The Artists Nook a collaborative artists team providing public and community art projects throughout WA. She has a BA Honours in Fine Art Printmaking from Gray’s School of Art in Scotland.

Her art practice encompasses printmaking and painting with a focus on linocut and watercolour. Nature is a constant throughout her work with native flowers and birds as subjects and motifs.

Art Nouveau and stained glass work have been an enduring inspiration and are echoed throughout her pieces. Juxtaposing flat ink against textural and tonal watercolour washes create a tactility in her still life and botanical pieces.
