Nicole Reed is an emotive painter whose adoration for the natural world has always been present within her work. From moody abstract landscapes to realist still life , Nicole has a profound ability to capture a deep human emotions within her work. Nicole has been a finalist in several Australian art prizes. Her artworks are held in private collections throughout Australia, the United Kingdom, France and New Zealand. Her design work has been published in the Parson's Journal of Information Mapping, United States.
Nicole is an alumna of the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2015. Majoring in Interactive & Visual Design with studies in Visual Arts Practice and Interior Design. Nicole is also an alumna of The University of the Sunshine Coast, graduating a Bachelor of Business in 2000 with studies in Computer Based Art and Design. In 2018, Nicole studied ceramics under the instruction of internationally renown ceramicist Dianne Peach.
Currently Nicole lives and works in Gubbi Gubbi country. Her studio is located beside the southern beaches of the Sunshine Coast, where the climatic conditions and coastal foreshore provide an endless source of inspiration for the artist.
