Artwork Description

A textured fun statement sized artwork representative of Australian beach life!
Paint is applied with a palette knife is the sky, the sand, the ocean and the background buildings , giving a textural interesting result. This can be seen in the close up photos.

It is professionally framed in a light beech wood contemporary frame which complements the style of the artwork . The frame in the insitu room photographs is for illustrative purposes only, and the actual frame is seen in the photo showing the corner of the frame.

The actual beach painted in this scene is Wanda or Eloura (not sure exactly where I was along the beach) at the northern end of Cronulla.

A textural beach scene showing many little people sunbathing on the beach enjoying the view of the ocean, ready for a swim. There are buildings and a skyline view in the background. Strong blue waves with white surf is a prominent feature. A Large expanse of beautiful golden sand makes up the majority of the artwork.

This canvas was professionally built and stretched by a framer effort being professionally framed. It is produced at the highest possible quality.

My artworks are created with passion, each piece brings me joy. I hope that the piece brings you joy and stirs up emotion or memories of good times for you. I have been a visual artist for over 30 years, done many solo exhibitions, and have work in collections all over the world. I am passionate about the Australian landscape.

Please note, the work definitely looks far more beautiful and impactful in real life. I find it quite challenging to photograph works of this large size successfully! The colour appears a bit "patchy' and shadowy in the photographs - it is very smooth and even in real life. Buyer will absolutely not be dissapointed. This piece would look so perfect in a coastal home!

“I am predominantly a landscape oil painter, enjoying bush and coastal scenes. My landscapes are influenced by many past and present Australian landscape artists, as well as the impressionist and post-impressionist movements.. Of particular interest to me, is the use of colour, light and movement in our unique Australian landscape. ‘
