Blackwoods Beach

A moody soft calm painting of a small beach that only the locals know and love, nestled in the rocks between two larger beaches.

The ocean waters show many different soft pastel colours reminiscent of a pale overcast day. The view shows the rocks and coastal foliage in the foreground, leading down to the beach and ocean, with Shelly beach and houses in the distance. The painting draws you in with its beautiful soft brushstrokes and pastel colours used. Charcoal blues can also be seen in the ocean colours and pale blues and mauves make up the soft moody sky.

Established Australian artist, Nicole Southworth, grew up in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney

By the age of 19, she was exhibiting her oil paintings in prominent galleries in Sydney. Nicole held her first solo exhibition at the age of 21 in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, and has had many sell-out solo exhibitions since.

Nicole has been a professional artist for more than thirty years having sold thousands of oil paintings to collectors around the world.

Nicole also teaches monthly adult painting workshops.
