An original oil painting painted on high quality Canvas, that is a mixture of polyester and cotton canvas making it much stronger than 100% cotton canvas. It has been hand stretched by myself, . Price includes professional framing in solid oak with a 4cm deep beautiful contemporary frame.

Paint has been applied with a palette knife so it is very textured and gestural in it’s movement.

This was inspired by the Stunning clear turquoise waters of Salmon Haul Bay, on the southern tip of Cronulla, in the beautiful Sutherland Shire.

The bay is very popular with the locals, diver and snorkelers due to its beautiful aqua clear waters.

The Royal National Park and Mainbar can be seen in the distance.

It is a colourful relaxed piece that is expressionistic in style with strong mark making style.

I am a professional oil painter and I have been painting the Australian landscape for 30 years.

I use only the highest quality materials. Paints and medium’s are by Gamblin, Langridge and Art Spectrum.

Established Australian artist, Nicole Southworth, grew up in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney

By the age of 19, she was exhibiting her oil paintings in prominent galleries in Sydney. Nicole held her first solo exhibition at the age of 21 in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, and has had many sell-out solo exhibitions since.

Nicole has been a professional artist for more than thirty years having sold thousands of oil paintings to collectors around the world.

Nicole also teaches monthly adult painting workshops.

“I am predominantly a landscape oil painter, enjoying bush and coastal scenes. My landscapes are influenced by many past and present Australian landscape artists, as well as the impressionist and post-impressionist movements.. Of particular interest to me, is the use of colour, light and movement in our unique Australian landscape. ‘
