Artwork Description

I became a little obsessed by the beauty of the Royal National Park late last year, and this was a piece with the subject being the Wattle Forest area at Audley, in Sydney’s south. I absolutely loved painting this one and have had it on my own wall for several months.

It’s a fairly large piece at 110 x 85cm and comes professionally custom framed in a beautiful solid oak box frame (in pics).

It is quite detailed, using a varied but soft palette, and takes the viewer right into the landscape, observing all there is to see.
Charcoal, soft greys and mauves, are prominent colours in this impressionistic piece.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

“I am predominantly a landscape oil painter, enjoying bush and coastal scenes. Of particular interest to me, is the use of colour, light and movement in our unique Australian landscape. ‘
