Artwork Description

This painting is 16" x 20" (0.75" deep), professional grade acrylics on gallery wrapped, professional grade cotton canvas, and is part of Nymira Gray's LAYERS SERIES.

Nymira works in heavy body acrylics, the fast drying nature of which is perfect for her technique, which uses many quick textured layers, working with palette knives and brushes. All her paintings are created using only the three primary colors, plus black and white. Every other color is mixed on the palette from those basic colors.

It is wired on the back, and ready to hang.
It is initialed on the front, signed on the back, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Artist Bio

Although I paint primarily portraits, I do not consider myself to be a portrait artist. While traditionally a portrait artist would strive to capture the likeness and essence of the sitter, I am instead painting psychological concepts; traits that I admire, have within myself, or wish to cultivate. My works are not renderings of people, but rather character traits, and emotional substrates.
