Afghan Hound is a painting that was recreated from memory. On a day when I was observing the world, several interesting scenes crossed my eye. Here a young woman crossed the road in front of me. Her head down concentrating on her phone while her beautiful dog was oblivious. I, the spectator, froze the moment in my mind, and recreated it on my canvas. The surrounds are a blur of colour as the woman, the dog and the phone were captured in my mind's eye! A Melbourne scene.
