Dreaming in St Kilda

My mood takes me to different places. In Melbourne Lockdown number 4 I am again walking the streets of St Kilda, Elwood and Balaclava for exercise. My mind wanders as I walk and this piece was influenced by the mid century style that is a bit of a feature here. A bit of whimsy as I imagine the sea seen through the holes in a particular type of curtain that I remember from my youth. It is night and everything is bathed in a blue light, The moon casts shadows and the vibrancy of St Kilda shows through. The red light district, the street people, the food and the entertainment.

Olga's style varies from realism to abstraction. Her paint application is like handwriting, bold and confident. Each piece is a journey. She asks questions of herself and the viewer. The work delves into spaces that you forgot about, it clutches your heart just so that it can simply caress it and then carefully release it back to you. Olga is searching for a connection with her audience.
With degrees in Visual Art and Education, Olga continues to hone her skills with her prolific output. She is an active member of several art societies and exhibits widely.
