Lightning in the Hills - Large Statement Abstract

Lightening in the Hills retracing one of my favourite themes that encompasses my beloved hills. Born into my psyche the Hills become a metaphor for my life. This abstracted landscape contains beautiful, multiple layers of texture and colour. It glows with rich layers of warm and coo red and blues. Broad confident strokes of the palette knife are evident. Texture has been created with areas of modelling compound and paint. It is a stunning piece which has been influenced by the great tradition of Australian landscape artists and their relationship to the environment.

Olga's style varies from realism to abstraction. Her paint application is like handwriting, bold and confident. Each piece is a journey. She asks questions of herself and the viewer. The work delves into spaces that you forgot about, it clutches your heart just so that it can simply caress it and then carefully release it back to you. Olga is searching for a connection with her audience.
With degrees in Visual Art and Education, Olga continues to hone her skills with her prolific output. She is an active member of several art societies and exhibits widely.
