This piece was influenced by Edvard Munch, famous for The Scream. Munch also painted the most sublime landscapes and this piece was created for an exhibition entitled Homage. Although not a direct copy of any of Munch's work it is influenced by the colour palette and the stylised motifs particularly evident in the treatment of the moon reflected in the water. The warm underpainting shows through and the light shimmers. It's an understated gem!

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
Olga's art is bound up in the day to day, each piece is a reflection on life and the world that we inhabit. It is often poetic in nature, with titles that are at times ironic, humorous or that bestow a deep significance to a captured moment. For Olga art is deeply personal.
Olga's style varies from realism to abstraction. Her paint application is like handwriting, bold and confident. Each piece is a journey. She asks questions of herself and the viewer. The work delves into spaces that you forgot about, it clutches your heart just so that it can simply caress it and then carefully release it back to you. Olga is searching for a connection with her audience.
With degrees in Visual Art and Education, Olga continues to hone her skills with her prolific output. She is an active member of several art societies and exhibits widely.
Olga's work is held in private collections throughout Australia and in the USA.
