The Storm is an Artist

The Storm is an Artist by Olga Megele. I sort of crave the great outdoors. I remember so well our recent trip to Gippsland, my face pressed against the glass looking out. The vast expanse of this beautiful country opened up to us. The sky is magic, alive. Pregnant with possibilities. Is there a storm brewing? I am calm, yet unsettled.
This painting is one of a developing series concerned with our current situation aligned with the magic of the sky.

This piece is painted with layers to create texture. Wide sweeps of the palette knife have been used. There is a sculptural element in the mountain section which is 3D.

Olga's style varies from realism to abstraction. Her paint application is like handwriting, bold and confident. Each piece is a journey. She asks questions of herself and the viewer. The work delves into spaces that you forgot about, it clutches your heart just so that it can simply caress it and then carefully release it back to you. Olga is searching for a connection with her audience.
With degrees in Visual Art and Education, Olga continues to hone her skills with her prolific output. She is an active member of several art societies and exhibits widely.
Olga's work is held in private collections throughout Australia and in the USA.
