What can I say? I love doughnuts. But my doctor and wife I shouldn't eat so many. So now I just paint dounghnuts.
I wanted to capture the essence of the doughnut, the colour, the shape, and the contours while keeping it minimalist as possible without crossing over to abstraction.
Using acrylic paint each colour is stacked on a separate wooden panel. All panels are then level on top of each other. So it's appears flat from one perspective but it's actually full of contours.
