In the Australian Aboriginal tradition, the Sulphur-crested Cockatoo was once a woman living in swampland. When the region flooded, she fled to a tree hollow, but the water kept rising. Spirit transformed her into a Cockatoo, allowing her to dig out to safety using her long bill.
Her presence represents a nurturing nature of sustenance and renewal.
My artwork style is an experimental proposal of pop-expressionism & intuitive art expressed by using a mixture of techniques from pouring painting to alcohol inks. These techniques let me explore the uncontrollable outcome of pouring making each piece special and unique.
