Africa - Grass Animals and Death

The inspiration for this piece came from Sir David Attenborough on one of this Wild Africa T V specials.
He showed a scene on an African plain and said "Africa, broken grass animals and death" Hence the name.
This painting is of a part fluid style, but with a lot of manipulation, especially to get the golden Savannah grass broken. The black and white represents the animals and the red line represents the blood of Death.
The painting is on a board and is 91 cm wide by 60 cm high with a 2.5 cm wooden edge. It is Gloss varnished to enhance the colour and protect the paint.
On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It will be wired ready to hang and has felt cushion to protect your walls.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
