Baja

This is another of my heavily textured mixed media based paintings.
The name Baja relates to the central design which is similar to a Cactus plant from the Baja region in Mexico. A very dry and arid region that has some very hardy cacti.
The single colour of Pearl White accentuates the ridges and troughs in the texture. With the varying light intensity of the day gives a different appeal each time you look at the painting.

This painting is 59.5 cm wide and 81 cm high and 5 cm deep. It is varnished with a subtle satin finish that enhances the colour and protects the paint.
On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
