"Grannies Hallway Flowers"
In my Grannies house back in the late 1950's / early 1960's on the wall at the end of the front hall, just above the dried out fish tank, was a very simple painting of three colourful flowers.
Every time we visited Grannie I was always drawn to the little painting and the detail in the petals.
So here is my recollection and interpretation of that simple little painting. Admittedly this painting is a good size bigger and brighter in colour than the original ever was, as it was probably painted in the late 19th century.
The inner detail of the petals was very interesting to accomplish. Have a close look and guess how it was painted. I have been told that an artist never tells their secrets. But if you ask I will tell you.
This painting is 122 cm wide by 91 cm high and is 3.8 cm deep. I weights 2.5 Kgs. It is finished in a high gloss varnish that enhances the colour and protects the paint.
On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls.
