This painting was inspired by my grand children. For their summer holidays they went up to the gem fields of norther New South Wales. Fossicking for gems is now a very favorable holiday event.
When they came home, all their different finds were on display with excited children telling me how and when they found each gem.
As a consequence of their excitement, I decided to make a painting about gems. This is how Green Aget was devised.
The painting is another of my part fluid pours and part manipulated with a spatula.
The total effect was outstanding. Just love the blended shades of the green and gold and alabaster.
This painting is on board and is 60 cm high, 91 cm wide and 2.5 cm deep. It is finished with a high gloss varnish which enhances the colour and protects the paint.
On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls.
It does not need a frame as the edges are painted.
