LOTUS LADY

Lotus Lady is very special to me as a very good friend of mine is Asian and she has a large Lotus pond on her property.

Her name is Yufei and she would be embarrassed if she knew this painting was about her.

Not meaning to give too much information away but Yufei is one of my very good fishing companions. Yufei catches some huge fish with me, regularly.

Back to the painting.
This sculpture/painting is part, on a textured mixed media base, then painted and her face is all acrylic. It is finished with a combination of satin and gloss varnish.

This is a little different to my usual artworks, BUT I had a lot of fun producing this particular piece.

This painting is 122 cm wide 91 cm high and 4 cm deep. It is wired ready to hang.

On the back is a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
