Watching the sun rise on the longest day of the year is a ritual with me.
With the angle of the sun from my verandah, as it clears the horizon it is right in the middle of the neighbours T V antenna.
As the sun shimmers in the heat of the morning it distorts the wires of the antenna making them look uneven.
I started painting this piece straight away that day. Strike while the iron is hot, so they say.
The part of the neighbours house that had the antenna was demolished the next day for renovations !!!!!! HONESTLY. Lucky I got the inspiration that first morning.
This painting is 91 cm wide and 122 cm high and 4 cm deep. It weighs 3 Kgs
It is wired ready to hang. The edges are fully painted so external framing is optional.
This piece is finished with a gloss varnish that enhances the colour and protects the paint.
