Artwork Description

This art works sums up MY LIFE.
As it says on the back of the painting.

My Life
When darkness surrounds you
For me to have the whiteness of pure serenity
I need the ocean below my feet
And above all else I need Colour.

It took me a good while to come up with the concept of how to have my feelings displayed in an art works.
I am 70 years of age now and I am lucky to have peace and serenity in my life at this stage.
The Ocean has had a huge calming effect on my wellbeing for all my life.
And now in my later stage of life, Colour is having a large influence. Hence all my colourful artworks.

To be honest, I am a family man. I have been a worker all my life . And it surprises ALL my friends and associates when they see my unusual colourful art.

This piece is on a quality marine plywood with a sturdy pine frame. I am an old builder and make these frames to be strong to support the heavy and thick medium.
This medium gives a bold character to the works adding extra detail and shadow lines.

This piece is 122 cm wide and 81 cm high and 5 cm deep. It weights 9.3 Kgs.

On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls. It is varnished to enhance the colour and protect the paint.

Artist Bio

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.
