Artwork Description

This piece is one of my plaster base works. The work is based on the old game of naughts and crosses which most of us have played at some time. When you first look at the piece , you automatically look to see who won. In this case it was the naughts. It is a simplistic looking work until you look closely at the base behind the colour.
The plaster gives depth to the texture and in the right light gives shadow lines that accentuate and enhance the simplicity of this piece. It is perfect for a games room or somewhere that you want to make a statement. This is a very unique piece of art. It is 122 cm x 91 cm and weighs nearly 6 kg.
On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity, wired and ready to hang with Felt cushions to protect your walls.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.
