Obsession with Colour

The title is " Obsession with Colour " that's me in a nut shell. I love colour.
I painted a couple about my grandkids and they were beautiful, so I decided to paint another one in the same bright, vigorous and captivating style.
Once I get started I can't help myself, I just love this style of expressionism, free and uninhibited. But with a purpose and a definite end.

I tried this in my house and it looks fantastic. It brightens up any room and is a real eye catcher. Lucky my wife was out when I had it in the house or my love would want it, for sure.

The painting is 122 cm wide x 91 cm high x 4 cm deep. It weighs 2.5 Kgs. It is finished with a high gloss varnish which really enhance the colours and protects the paint.
On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
