A little while ago my eleven year old granddaughter was having a bad day. Things were just not going right and she was in a bit of a mood. Grumpy is another word for it.
So I said to her ONE SMILE IS BETTER THAN A DOZEN FROWNS. Eventually my little angle lightened up and smiled.
That was the influence behind this painting, then all I had to do was to work out how to do it with my usual different style. Did someone say CRAZY. Style.
The frowns and smile are my usual thick medium, and the back of the canvas is stabilized to minimise any movement.
Now let me tell you I make a much better fisherman, handyman, grandfather (poppy) than I do as a photographer. So please excuse the quality of my photos. I try !!!
This painting is Black with a satin varnish the camera picks up reflections. The painting looks stunning in the flesh. the frowns shine and the smile stands out, the way it was intended. Again stunning.
The painting is 91 cm wide 122 cm high and 4 cm deep. It weighs 3 Kgs
On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. it is wired ready to hang and has felt dots on the back to protect your walls.
