Palata Dorado ( Silver Gold )

The name Palata Dorado is Spanish for Silver Gold. These two elements mean Wealth, hence the impressionistic $ sign as the main character lines.
This sculpture/painting is another of my very heavy textured works.
The medium I used for this work is very heavy, which accentuates the character and gives the piece great depth and shadow lines just about in any light situation. A natural side light brings out the contours.
I hand make the frame with a quality marine grade hardwood ply for the medium base. This solid construction is needed for the heavy medium.

This painting is 81 cm wide and 122 cm high and 5 cm deep. It is varnished with a subtle satin finish that enhances the colour and protects the paint.
On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
