Artwork Description

For a starter I am a mad keen fisherman.

Every fish has an individual scale pattern. This painting/sculpture is of a fish called a Mangrove Jack. The locals up Far North Queensland call them "Red Bream".
Nearly every Red Bream that I have caught has had a different scale pattern and different colour.
By the way, they are great eating!!!!!

This artwork is plaster base on canvas that has been patiently sculptured and painted with acrylic paints. It is finished with a gloss varnish the enhances the colour and protects the paint.

The artwork is 40cm x 40cm and 3.8cm deep. It weights 1.4 Kgs.

On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls.

Artist Bio

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
