WILD WEATHER

I am a mad keen fisherman and I am on or near water all the time.

My inspiration for this painting again came from fishing on the beach. Now I have painted a scene similar to this one in the past. BUT again out fishing this time and the weather was atrocious.

With strong winds and threatening clouds in the back ground a regatta of sailing boats came up from the south. They were very close together and tacked very close to the beach, then headed further out to sea each trying to get in front of the others. It was bad enough for us fishing on the beach let alone out on a boat in all that WILD WEATHER.

This painting is painted in a very dramatic and colourful style befitting the actual afternoon of the race.

It is 91 cm wide 122 cm high and 4 cm deep. It is wired ready to hang and has painted edges making a frame optional.

The painting in finished in a gloss varnish and on the back is a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
