I am constantly inspired by the Mallee trees and the Murray River in our rural area. These two trees reminded me of two ladies sitting by the river, discussing the ways of life.

Hi, I’m Paula Starrs, a landscape artist based in regional Victoria who loves creating with acrylics on canvas. Growing up in the Mallee, I developed a deep connection to the landscape, which fuels my passion for capturing its colours and shadows in a loose brushstroke style.

In 2024, I was honoured to be named one of the top 50 most popular artists on Bluethumb, placing me in the top 1% of Australian artists — a very proud moment in my art career.

I work from my barn studio on a 40-acre property near Swan Hill, where I paint, garden, and enjoy a martini or two. My artwork and unique style have captured enough interest to feature my works in private collections both in Australia and overseas.
