Artwork Description

The Waratah is one of Australia's most iconic flowers and has long been a favourite of mine.
The shapes, textures and colour all tickle my fancy. Strong and stoic yet delicate at the same time.

Growing up my parents tried many times to grow these amazing plants but without much success due to soil conditions. As a result, I was always searching out these flowers on our travels or in the shops wherever I could.
