Inspired by a lovely customer I decided to do more phantasy landsacapes, I love how peaceful and magical feeelings come to me when I paint this semi abstract forests.
I dont think there is anything else more inspiring than nature and animals: to breathe fresh air, smell the rain, enjoy seing a cute rabbit on the background...

This painting is my original Artwork and is signed on the front. I tried to replicate the colors as close as reality

Artist Bio

Hello! My name is Pepa, which is short for Josephine in spanish. I come from a very artistic background and most of my family work in the Arts. Probably the best known from my family is my grandpa Charles Blackman, the much loved Australian artist. My mum Christabel is a celebrated artist too and she encouraged me to paint from an early age, and I have enjoyed painting all my life.

I studied Art at University in Valencia, Spain, where I had the opportunity to learn about Old Masters techniques. It gave me a lot of insight into studio practices that have developed over centuries. For many years I explored painting with watercolours, but now my the challenge of oils and acrylics on canvas is what motivates me in the Studio.

My inspiration usually comes from nature, flowers, and my favourite creatures - cats. I like to paint and draw women, delicate portraits which reveal the innocence of girls with their love of flowers and nature. My grandfather Charles often painted similar subjects, only my interpretation is very much my own and revealing of our own personal artistic styles.

For years I’ve been very interested in Japanese Pop Culture, from street fashion style Anime and Manga to modern japanese painters, illustrators and doll makers. They are not afraid of mixing themes or styles, sometimes using very classical themes as fairytales, but with a very modern twist.

Whatever! I just love painting and hope you love them too. This is my first year of offering my Artworks to Collectors, so I am really really happy with all my new customers 💗 as you give me the chance to keep on painting every day!
