Artwork Description

Best Foot Forward was a finalist in the Harold and Agnes Richardson Drawing Price 2025 hosted by Royal Queensland Art Society.
The concept of distorted perspective is explored in this drawing to challenge traditional views of the human body, highlighting the ways in which perspective can alter our perception of strength, vulnerability, and balance. The work invites reflection on our own physicality and the spaces we occupy, suggesting that sometimes, our internal worlds can feel as distorted and multifaceted as our external forms.
