Hi...I'm Pete of pete+chrissy and I have been a successful full time professional artist for over 30 years in a different genre to the abstract and contemporary works you see in my current portfolio as we start out here on Bluethumb. I am a self taught artist who is known for my hyperrealism painting and very large, oversize artworks...having sold thousands of originals and prints to collectors from around the world.
In recent years, my detailed works have been becoming more contemporary so I am extremely excited to be challenging myself further by pushing my skills in to new directions here in our pete+chrissy studios.. Although pete is my real name, it is also, in this case, my "nom de plume" or should I say "nom de brush"?!!
I love the challenge of painting a variety of subjects in a variety of ways... so you will find our collection a unique mix of abstract and contemporary with a bit of spice...
And who is Chrissy? well, she is that person that comes in to your life and shows you all that you have been missing. She is my cheerleader, my coach, my collaborator, my creative inspiration and the love of my life. She is the one who has encouraged me to dive deeper in to the work you see here. I am having so much fun finding this new side of myself and as chrissy joins me to add her creative touch,we are having fun together... I hope you can see that joy in each of our paintings.

PS. We love being "abstractionists" together and have created some innovative fluid art techniques that are leading the industry...particularly with our abstract fluid beach paintings! It is a magic collaboration with the universe! Probably a quarter of our beach abstracts have been commissions so please contact us if you see something you like but it is already sold or not quite the colour combination you want...
