We often have inspiration when creating these paintings but we are more thrilled when our clients see something that is meaningful to them... For us, we were inspired by the contrasting colours that flow so beautifully together .We've both spent a lot of time hiking the outback and Mountains of Australia... from Queensland and the Northern Territories to the Flinders Ranges, Barrier Ranges .
This original painting is an endless discovery of patterns and interest with layers of colour creating a depth through Pete's signature Mosaic Method! "Coastal Dunes" is a contrast of tonal Earth colours offset by inlays of Gold , Copper White Gold , Rose Gold and Bronze that catch the light and create a visual interest . There is a whole multi dimensional element to the painting in that even in low light the painting takes on a whole new look . NOTE: we have tried to show a different light in the closeups...
The metallics add an incredible energy that just cannot be depicted in an online photograph!
The energy of the artwork in person is far more impactful than what you see on the screen. It's vibrancy and motion will easily lift a room (and your spirits!)!!!
