Artwork Description

Sweeping gestures of gold, copper, champagne and soft opalescent colour move across a dramatic black ground. Metallic and pearlescent details shift subtly with changing light, giving the painting depth, movement and a striking contemporary presence.

Designed to work beautifully in a contemporary home, office, reception area or sophisticated commercial interior. The horizontal format makes it particularly suited above a sofa, credenza, console or other substantial furniture.

• Signed on the side/back, allowing the artwork to remain uninterrupted and allows you to hang in any orientation you want including vertically!

• Sides are finished so looks great with a frame, but hangs beautifully without.

We are pete + chrissy, contemporary Australian artists creating original abstract works inspired by the movement, energy and natural rhythms of the coastline and earth.
Our work is known for its luminous quality — layers of colour, light and subtle texture interact to create pieces that shift and evolve throughout the day. Collectors often describe our paintings as opalescent and alive in different lighting.

Using our signature “scientartist” approach, we develop and refine our own paint combinations to create depth, cellular detail and organic flow that cannot be replicated. Each piece is the result of both experimentation and control — where art and process meet.
