ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Blue Ribbon Dance sweeps across the canvas in broad ribbons of blue, indigo and white. The gestures curve, cross and rise through the composition, creating a 'visual texture' and a strong sense of movement, rhythm and depth.

Visible brush striations give the ribbons a tactile, silk-like quality, while shifts between deep navy, luminous blue and crisp white allow the work to change subtly with the light. Energetic yet refined, it brings movement and impact to a room without overwhelming it.

We first send the canvas rolled to a professional framer near you, where it will be stretched before final delivery to your address. Your seven days start on delivery to you.

This process requires additional preparation time. If timing is important, please contact us after purchasing so we can discuss the expected schedule.

FRAMING
Although we show some images with the painting framed, that is for styling purposes.
If you add framing, that will be done by the same framer and will not increase the time, jsut add it to your cart at checkout!

We are pete + chrissy, contemporary Australian artists creating original abstract works inspired by the movement, energy and natural rhythms of the coastline and earth.
Our work is known for its luminous quality — layers of colour, light and subtle texture interact to create pieces that shift and evolve throughout the day. Collectors often describe our paintings as opalescent and alive in different lighting.

Using our signature “scientartist” approach, we develop and refine our own paint combinations to create depth, cellular detail and organic flow that cannot be replicated. Each piece is the result of both experimentation and control — where art and process meet.
