Sunlit Shores captures the moment sunlight meets the shoreline, where shimmering golden sand gives way to cool turquoise waters and delicate seafoam patterns.

Created using our fluid acrylic pouring techniques, this piece reveals thousands of intricate cellular formations that resemble the ever-changing textures found along Australia's coastline. Layers of metallic gold, soft aqua, turquoise and deep coastal greens create movement, depth and luminosity that shift subtly as the light changes throughout the day.

The detailed lace-like structures invite closer inspection, while the overall composition evokes the calming rhythm of waves washing across warm sand.

We are pete + chrissy, contemporary Australian artists creating original abstract works inspired by the movement, energy and natural rhythms of the coastline and earth.
Our work is known for its luminous quality — layers of colour, light and texture interact to create pieces that shift and evolve throughout the day. Collectors often describe our paintings as opalescent and alive in different lighting.

Using our signature “scientartist” approach, we develop and refine our own paint combinations to create depth, cellular detail and organic flow that cannot be replicated. Each piece is the result of both experimentation and control — where art and process meet.
