We called this abstract painting "Great Barrier Reef" because we loved how there was this depth of colour and interest just like one sees with all the coral reefs...
We are truly excited how the metallic colours glisten and make the painting come to life!!!particularly in how the colours look different in different light conditions through out the day and especially in low light at night .We are super proud of this piece, the sandy beach has a tone on tone quality with the metallics against the more matt acrylics.
There is just something about the ocean "Great Barrier Reef" with its sets of waves rolling in from the deep blue ocean beyond ...they tend to calm us and excite us at the same time! We love conveying that feeling through this original painting:.
This painting is an endless discovery of patterns and interest with layers of colour creating a depth through Pete's signature Mosaic Method! "Shore Break" is a contrast of tonal Metallic Emerald green , Teal and Metallic Aquamarine colours creating an impressionistic view of a sandy beach of a tropical coastline.
