I’m English and when I grew up there was a popular TV character called Adrian Mole who was a little wimpy kid. I’ve imagined his Australian counterpart who I see as more of a tough guy/rebel without a cause kinda guy. Originally called Australian Mole but that sounded too off putting. 🤣🤣
Pete Conroy is an English artist based in Echuca. He focuses his attention on portraits and distortion of the human face and figure. Using traditional techniques mixed with a modern style he paints humans with impossibly stretched facial features and limbs. Where the shape and structure of his subjects are out of sync with reality he attempts to bring the characters back into the realistic realm with a mix of modern and traditional techniques of oil painting.
