This image of hands stretching out to catch a football came to me whilst watching a game of Australian Rules Football. I wanted to show the diversity of races playing the game currently and depicted this in the range of skin colour tones in the hands trying to catch the ball. AFL, like most team sports is a sport where your race or religion is inconsequential and how you play as a member of a team is important. This is what I learned when I started to play the game as a young boy. I am pleased how the hands worked out and the balance of the image.

Artist Bio
I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoy creating them.
