Cricket

While cycling on a summer day I came across this scene in a local park . It stuck me as calm and peaceful .I liked the contrast of the green and white and the balance of the people relaxing and watching the match. This is the second painting on the theme of cricket. This painting is a depiction of daily summer life in Australia and it evokes a calm and peaceful feeling.

I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others.
