Artwork Description

This is a painting I completed inspired by my family road trips to the countryside as a child in 1960s. The car is driven by my father. It is a Holden 1969. My brothers and sisters are in the back seat looking out at the country. We always used to have a car breakdown. This is a cheerful and bright painting.

I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive.
