Frangipani 13 Pink

This painting is part of series I painted based on Frangipani trees near where I lived. This is a painting of fresh, new pink flowers blooming. It is a bright and cheerful painting showing my impression of the flowers, the leaves and the buds of new flowers.

I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive.
