Frangipani 6

I painted my impression of this part of a Frangipani tree. I wanted to catch the contrast of the single white flower amongst the dark green leaves and the blue tropical sky. I kept it simple with some details in the leaves. This painting could be hung with Frangipani 5 as they are connected, two parts of the same tree. It is a cooling and interesting painting.

I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive.
