This painting was inspired by a recent cycling trip in Central Otago in New Zealand. I wanted to create my impression of the rolling mountains, the fields in cultivation, the green pastures full of sheep under the big sky. I painted in a naive style using bright colours to create a bright and cheerful landscape.
