Artwork Description

This is a painting depicting the life, people and houses on my street. I painted real houses on my street showing the range of architecture seen in my neighbourhood, 100 year old Federation houses, European style and 1970's style houses . I painted people doing what they do everyday and a corner shop now converted into a coffee shop. It is a bright , happy picture showing everyday life in my street.

I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoy creating them.
